I am Ji Hyun, a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration and Policy at Rockefeller College, University at Albany (SUNY). My research interests include:

• Public management
• Government performance
• Interorganizational relations, and
• Regulatory enforcement.

My dissertation investigates the relationship between administrative capacity and performance within the context of U.S. child labor regulations. Utilizing an original dataset on state-level labor enforcement budgets, my work examines (1) how administrative capacity drives regulatory outcomes, (2) how state-level resources interact with federal enforcement performance, and (3) the extent to which capacity allows states to buffer against external challenges in the regulatory environment.
